Making an Oscar statuette!

By the way, do you know the origin of the name "Oscar", given to these special statuettes many years ago? Please, leave your answer here as soon as you can , indicating the link where you found the information. There will be a prize for the first student who gets it right!

  1. Those statuettes have that name because in 1931 Margaret Herrick, when she saw that statuette, exclaimed the name of his uncle Oscar. And it is the name's prize origin. In the link below you will find this information.

  3. The origin of the "Oscar" have produced controversy during many years. There are different stories about it. But, nowadays, we have identificated that origin with the Bette Davis´s husband because in the biography of Bette, those stauettes were named in honour of her husband, Oscar Nelson.
